Michael Oostryck Practice Principal BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Mike is the Practice Principal and most experienced physiotherapist at Aubin Grove Physiotherapy. He graduated from Curtin University in 2001 and has over 15 years experience in private practice.

He was the Head Physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Softball Team for several years and has attended 2 World Championships in Canada and the Netherlands where they won Bronze medals. From his work with this team he is highly experienced in the treatment of shoulder injuries.

He use to play elite volleyball and is also a keen long distance runner and triathlete and has a special interest in treating running injuries. Mike has travelled extensively with sporting teams both domestically and internationally and also spent 2 years working as a Physiotherapist in the UK.

John Klauz BSc. (Physiotherapy), GradCert (SBGM)

John has been practising in Kwinana since 2007. Prior to this he spent three years
working at Mercy Hospital. He has special interests in the treatment of knee and
spinal injuries, as well as extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation and
pregnancy related problems.

He has vast experience in fibreglass casting and can
make casts for many different types of upper-limb and lower-limb fractures. John has
also lectured for Sports Medicine Australia, and is an ex-elite distance runner.

Adam Beavis BSc. (Physiotherapy), GradCert (SBGM)

Adam has been practising in and around Kwinana since 2004, and Aubin Grove since it opened in 2010. He has special interests in treating spinal, sporting and dance injuries, as well as extensive experience in exercise rehabilitation and treatment of workplace injuries.

Adam has lectured on a number of occasions for Sports Medicine Australia on topics including “Taping- A Strap Smart Workshop” and “Acute Sports Injury Management”. Outside of work Adam plays amateur football and enjoys surfing whenever he can.

Kara Byrne BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Kara Byrne has been a physiotherapist since 2010. She has a special interest in Women’s Health and recently flew to Sydney to complete an intensive course in the field. She also has a passion for Pilates postural re-training and runs our Pilates mat classes several times per week.

She experience in using real-time ultrasound for pelvic floor re-training and helping rehabilitate people post low back and neck injuries.

Rebecca Yip BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Rebecca completed her physiotherapy degree in the UK and has previously worked for 2 years in a sports clinic in Victoria. She has worked with football teams and is an avid swimmer. She thoroughly enjoys treating sporting injuries and has completed additional APA Sports Courses here in Australia.

Christine Goonewardene BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Christine has an interest in rehabilitation and strengthening. She also has a wealth of experience treating sporting injuries. She currently works at the West Coast Eagles as a trainer and was their Head Sports Trainer last season.

Jonathan Ellis BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Jonathan has been working as a physiotherapist in private practice since graduating from Curtin University in 2013. John’s interests include the treatment of sport related injuries (particularly in juveniles), exercise rehabilitation, and the management of chronic spinal injuries.

Jonathan has completed his introductory acupuncture course and has the intention of advancing his skills further in this area. Outside of work Jonathan likes to keep himself active at the gym, going for a run or on the golf course. He also plays and physio’s for indoor and outdoor hockey teams at Fremantle Hockey Club and WA.

Tara Soh BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Tara enjoys treating low back and neck pain. She focusses strongly on strength and conditioning when rehabilitating her clients. She has also recently completed courses in dry needling and the treatment of tendinopathies. Outside of work, Tara enjoys going to the gym, kickboxing and baking for her fellow staff members.

Kiara Bishop BSc. (Physiotherapy)

Kiara enjoys treating sporting injuries and back pain. She is also interested in the treatment of arthritis through exercise.

Jacinta Sfreddo (Diploma of Remedial Massage)

Jacinta has been trained in using a combination of massage techniques including Swedish and Deep tissue massage, Neuromuscular techniques (eg. trigger point therapy), Myofascial release and Muscle energy techniques, Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and Positional release techniques.

30, 60 and 90 minute sessions are available 4 days per week (including Saturday mornings).
